When it comes to choosing health and beauty products, I am very cautious. I try to stay away from anything made with harmful chemicals, so I shop around searching for products that use all natural ingredients. Some items are hard to find and when I do find what I’m looking for, they’re often very expensive.
For this reason, I enjoy making my own beauty products when I can. Recently, I discovered a great recipe for making an all-natural lip balm that works very well. It’s an easy recipe to follow and it won’t take up much of your time.
Here is a list of the ingredients you’ll need:
- Microwaveable container with a spout for pouring
- Grated beeswax or beeswax pellets
- Coconut oil
- A bamboo skewer
- Containers for the lip balm
- Honey (optional)
- Essential oils (optional)
You can buy the tube containers online but most drug stores carry the tubs and they’re not very expensive. I personally prefer the tubs because they are easier to work with. I also like to make large batches at a time so I can give them as gifts to my closest friends and family.
