Valentine’s Day is one of the happiest times of the year for many people. Giving that special someone a gift of love is at the top of the list and kids of all ages want a piece of the action. Having children of my own, I’m always looking for new craft ideas for Valentine’s Day that are fun and easy to make. After all, homemade gifts are the best and doing crafts together is a lot of fun for the whole family.
This year I ran across this fun little kids’ project that also makes use of cardboard rolls, like those from toilet paper or paper towels. It’s such a simple idea but there are so many different things you can do with it.
To get started you’ll need some rubber bands, craft paint, a canvas and cardboard rolls. You’re going to use the rubber bands to bend the end of the tube into a heart shape. This is going to become your stamp. Then, you will dip the ends of the paper rollers (stamps) into the paint of your choice and then place the stamps wherever you choose.
This is where you can get really creative because there are so many different ideas like making cards, posters, or decorating wrapping paper for a gift.
